About / Prices

The Loch of Aboyne is the real home of the Aberdeen Water Ski Club picturesquely situated against the Cairngorm National Park where a volunteer committee supports the club on the behalf of the thriving membership.

The Club is run on a voluntary not-for-profit basis and all the income we generate is invested back into the Club to maintain and improve the facilities for the benefit of the sport and the members. We have a slalom course, and a Ski Nautique 200 competition boat that is equipped with Hydro-Gate, Zero Off, and a wakeboard tower.

We have access to the water only on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesday evenings through the season from April to October.

Our members are all ages, and the level of expertise ranges from beginner through to national competition level. We are keen to increase our membership so after 3 runs as a visitor we would like you to become a member and enjoy the benefits.

We have equipment available to use. Unfortunately we currently have very minimum facilities on shore as our lease was not offered for renewal a couple of years ago, and parking is in the layby on the main road. We’d like to think this is temporary as we now have plans in progress to regenerate the Club.

For more information check the FAQ's page.

Membership to Aberdeen Water Ski & Wakeboard Club also includes membership to the National Governing Bodies for the sport: British Water Ski & Wakeboard, and Water Ski & Wakeboard Scotland.
