Aberdeen Water Ski Club is a BWS designated Ski Boat Driver Award (SBDA) test centre. We implement an approved scheme to train and test drivers of ski boats and to issue both the BWS Ski Boat Driver Award (SBDA) and the International Certificate of Competence (ICC). Successful completion of training and the test will demonstarte that the driver has achieved the minimum requirements necessary for driving a boat that is towing water skiers for recreational purposes only.
SBDA – SKI BOAT DRIVER AWARD
The SBDA is a British Water Ski Federation certificate of competence and is recognised as the standard of boat driving skills at clubs throughout the UK and approved by the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) who are responsible to the Department of the Environment, Transport and Regions. It is not a professional qualification but proof of your boat handling experience and skills.

-
you must be over the age of 16 at the time of taking the test
